Data loss: editing a bundle for a job when the bundle has changed

There continues to be a data loss issue without warning: if an admin goes to edit the bundle on an existing job, and any part of the underlying bundle or services has changed (price, naming, whatever) then as soon as an edit is attempted the entire order is deleted. The only current solution is to notice this happened, cancel out, make a note of all prior selections , then go back in and recreate all selections. Pretty messy, and a disaster if the issues isn't noticed.

I'm not 100% sure what a good new workflow might be, perhaps:

Warn that the bundle has changed

Make an attempt to replace the old bundle with the new, but notify user (use back end database codes to track what matches?). Perhaps flag price changes if that's is all that's different?

As it is now we're reluctant to make changes to our order forms as we're concerned it might break our ability to easily change orders.
