First off, huge thanks to Todd and the entire Spiro team, the platform is incredible.
Right now, Spiro’s download pages are being indexed by Google, which means that if someone searches a property address, the private client download page (with all photos, videos, and files) can show up publicly in search results. Even the ones the selected to hide and didn’t post on MLS anywhere else.
This is a serious privacy and security concern. Anyone, including competitors, homeowners, or random people, could find and download media that was meant only for the agent or seller, even if the agent marked certain assets as private or unpublished.
The fix is extremely simple and can be implemented in minutes:<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow">
Adding that one line to the <head> of all download pages tells Google and other search engines not to index or display them in results, while still allowing clients with the link to access the page normally.
Thanks again for all your hard work and for continuing to improve an already amazing platform!
